My Teaching Journey
"...it is well known that few of the great singers turn out to be good teachers. It is a special gift." - Joan Sutherland

Having begun voice lessons and performing in Musical Theater at 9 years old, and debuting with Palm Beach Opera at the age of 16, I have spent my life performing throughout South Florida. After being invited to act as a Teaching Artist in Residence at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Conservatory of Performing Arts, I fell in love with helping others learn this art. While studying and pursuing my operatic career in New York City, I came to the realization that more even than performing, I have a passion and a calling to help foster a culture of positive, natural, and informed singing in today’s performers. With 14 years of vocal teaching experience, I have honed my technique in discovering each artist's true voice and helping them work to set it free. My goal as a teacher is always first and foremost to promote healthy and natural singing. I have studied Bel Canto with some of the greatest of our time, several years with Virginia Zeani, Marilyn Mims, Kamal Khan, working in New York City with Diana Soviero and Franco Bertacci, and many more. Through my own vocal exploration, performances, and studies I have discovered how to tailor the appropriate balance of bel canto and vocal sciences. Including vocal anatomy and the physicality of our instrument in combination with classic Italian technique, psyche, and emotion, we will work together to produce both a free and healthy voice and a highly trained instrument. My passion for vocal pedagogy has brought me to attend many lectures and workshops in the most recent vocal innovations.
